A search engine optimization tutorial can come in many forms, such as the standard eBook, an audio recording such as an expert being interviewed and revealing his or her traffic generation strategies through answering questions put to them by the interviewer.
Then of course there are video tutorials which are my personal favourite and with video popularity ever increasing on the net then they will be around for quite some time too.
Also, the added advantage of visual presentation makes it that much easier to learn, which in turn makes it more enjoyable at the same time instead of the learning feeling like a task.
While some people like to read and learn but being shown what to do eliminates most of the learning curves which are sometimes caused by miss interpretation of the written tutorial.
As a web master or website owner there is one subject on which you need to build your knowledge to make your website search engine friendly, which is search engine optimization or SEO as it is more commonly known.
If your site is not optimized for the search engines then find yourself receiving very little web traffic. Without traffic to your site you’ll find it very hard to make sales online.
Web traffic is the life blood of an online business. So if you want to make money from your online business then you need to make sure your website is search engine optimized.
Now there are two ways in which you can make sure your site is search engine friendly and they are as follows…
#1: You can pay through the nose and have a SEO company do it for you, in which case when they ask for their fee which is usually an upfront payment followed by monthly fees you will have to take there word for it that your site is now optimized.
#2: You can perform the SEO yourself which is easy to do once you know how and the added bonus is twofold in the fact that it will cost you nothing and that you know your site is optimized because your the one who did it, right?
Which brings me back to search engine optimization tutorials of which there are many as I explained earlier. Your dilemma now is… Which type of SEO tutorial do you go for? The eBook, the audio recording or my personal favourite – The video tutorial?
One thing for sure is, you’re going to need some form of search engine optimization tutorial even if you decide not to do your own SEO, you the tutorial will show you exactly what to look for so you can check your site and make sure your it has been optimized for the search engines by the company you contracted to do so.
Search engines send out robots known as web crawlers to every website on the net to collect information from them so they can rank them for inclusion in their search results. This is why you need to know how to optimize your website. When you know what you’re doing you can give the search engine crawlers exactly what they want.
If you can do this then you can gain a huge advantage over your competitors, some points to focus on are… Your on-page optimization, your content, is it keyword rich or not? And your design, remember this…
The crawlers read like you and I, from the top down and left to right. So try to place your keywords at the beginning of your content and also try to get them in right at the end two, this way the crawlers will read them first and last as they’re leaving your site forcing them to class your site as relevant
